Pumpkin Patch!

This year, we took Madi and Braelyn to the coolest pumpkin patch. We had heard good things about it, but we were blown away with everything that we could do. Unfortunately, it poured rain right after we got there, but it was still a lot of fun. We were there for about two hours, but we could have spent all day there. Artwork a la Madi. She made this one Sunday afternoon.
They had this huge bouncy pillow. It was actually a lot of fun.

This hay bail maze had a huge slide, which was made out of plastic piping. It literally shot Doug and Madi out the door. They were flying!

We probably spent the most time in these huge crates of nuts. We sat in the hazelnuts forever. Now the tricky part is the opening to get in and out. It was probably 2x2 feet. We kind of had to catapult ourselves in, but there wasn't any solid ground to push ourselves out. I got massive bruises on my right leg from sliding out.

Madi's Birthday

This year, Madi's birthday was a little chaotic. We were so tired from moving, we postponed her party; however, we did have a little celebration of our own.

The following week, we had a little family party at a pizza parlor. Madi enjoyed being queen for the day. (But who are we kidding, she is always the queen.) She definitely got hooked up from her grandparents, parents, aunts, and "uncles" (Chris and Julian have been adopted). The Elmo party wasn't as huge as we originally planned, but we were still in a whirlwind from moving.

Notice the Elmo slippers from Erin? Madi kissed them after she put them on her feet.
